American crocodiles!

Critically endangered, the prehistoric-looking American crocodile struggles to survive in pockets of shrinking habitat. The American crocodile is considered an endangered species in nearly all parts of America.

The American crocodile grows faster than the American alligator and does not mind salt water. The American crocodile lives in southern Florida. The word crocodile comes from the Greek name krokodilos.
