Yesterday in our Year 11 Chef School we baked some Retro cakes that were really popular in the 1970s and 1980s. Retro rocks! This classic pineapple upside-down cake makes a fun centre piece for afternoon tea and brings back many childhood memories for Mr Willett who said it was his favourite cake when he was a boy! Mr Procter-Legg and Mr Gaskin both polished off at least half of Mrs Willett’s demonstration cake that she made so I think this would be a really popular cake to make at home.

Our Chef School group wil tell you how to make the cakes ……..

Sports Relief

Sorry if I ran on the track and got in everyone’s way when they were running their mile today! I was just really excited to see everyone outside running … That’s why I was noisy in assembly and Tommy too me out! I want to give a big WOOF to Mr Turner, Mr Gaskin and Miss Shuker for organising today … now I’m off home for a sleep! Make sure you blog how much you enjoyed today’s Sports Relief day.
